What is a sand candle?
A sand candle is loose, granulated wax that you pour into any heat-safe vessel, like a bowl, glass, mug or vintage find. You press in a wick and light it. When it burns down, you top it up with more wax instead of buying a new jar.
- Reusable: use vessels you already own
- Refillable: refresh the candle instead of replacing the jar
- Flexible: change vessels with the season or the occasion
Made with RSPO-certified palm wax
Every bag of Candella wax is made with RSPO-certified, vegan palm wax. RSPO (the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certification means the palm comes through supply chains with standards for deforestation, wildlife habitat and workers' rights. No paraffin.

The Discovery Set lets you try every scent. If you'd rather scent your own, start with Original Unscented. Not sure how much wax your vessel needs? The sand candle calculator works it out.
