How to use
Pour the sand wax into a fire-safe vessel. Press in a cotton wick and trim it to ¼ inch above the surface. Light and enjoy, then refill when it burns down.

How it works
Pour, trim, light, refill.

Pour into any vessel
Pour the sand wax into any heat-safe glass, mug or bowl. Glass, ceramic, metal and stone all work, as long as it can handle heat.
Wide, shallow vessels give the softest glow, like a coupe glass or bowl.

Insert and trim the wick
Press a cotton wick into the centre of the wax and trim it to ¼ inch above the surface. Wicks come with every order.
Classic (350g) includes 8 × 15 cm wicks for 80+ hours of candlelight.

Light and enjoy the glow
Light the wick and relax. Want a scent? Add a few drops of essential oil near the wick before lighting, as strong as you like.
If the vessel tips, the loose wax smothers the flame.

Lift, compost, refill
When the wick burns down, the top layer firms into a thin disk. Lift it out, compost it, pour fresh wax and light it again.
Grind the used disk back into fine wax and pour it again for even less waste.

Discovery (100g) comes with 6 × 7.5 cm cotton wicks for 15+ hours of burn time. Classic (350g) comes with 8 × 15 cm wicks for 80+ hours. Actual burn time depends on wick length and your vessel.

It depends on the size of the vessel. Enter its measurements in our sand candle calculator and it works out how much wax to use.

Our scented candles use fragrance oils. They're lightly scented and never overpowering when lit. Prefer essential oils? Our Original Unscented is made for adding your own: put a few drops around the wick before lighting and adjust to your liking.

Lift out the thin layer of used wax and wick. Break it apart and place it under a fresh layer of sand wax for a new look, or dispose of it in a biodegradable bin. Then add a new wick and light again.
